That Time of Year

Another year, another summer that’s come and gone. While parts of the States are still sweating out summer, most of the country has seen a downward shift in temperatures and, with them, fall’s colorful arrival. And with the beautiful scenes of autumn also come sweaters, scarves, gloves, hats, and all the accessories to keep us warm during our daily routines. Some of us may have that one, favorite scarf that is irreplaceable. But for many of us, having an extra scarf or pair of gloves around (read: strategically tucked in away in one of those inside pockets of our coats and not thought about again until the following year) is never a bad idea. And, if you’ve got work events, family functions, or any holiday events coming up, you can rest assured someone is going to leave some fall and winter accessories behind.

So, what does all of this have to do with screenprinting? Quite a bit! With the cooler seasons here or on their way, it’s a great time to consider custom screenprinting for your next event or get-together. But, let’s think outside the box a bit; who’s going to want a custom t shirt — no matter how cool it looks — in early November? Or a short-sleeved polo the week before Christmas? If you want to give your guests, co-workers, or potential clients seasonally appropriate gifts or marketing products, consider getting into the swing of things with personalized scarves, gloves, beanies, hats, and other cooler weather accessories. Need some motivation for holiday screenprinting? Take a look below for some ideas.

Halloween

It’s the only day of the year (in most towns, anyway) where it’s socially acceptable to dress up like our current favorite characters (or last-minute costume idea) and roam the streets asking strangers for candy. But with Halloween comes lots of opportunities for parties and events. Although the idea of a Halloween party may most often be relegated to college parties that center around a keg, businesses, schools, and organizations are known to have Halloween parties or events to celebrate the ghoulish day. Churches often hop in on the fun with fall festivals and trunk-or-treat hosting. So, if you’re part of an organization that’s looking to do some marketing or have prizes or giveaways, having Impress Ink press and print your organization’s design onto fall or winter apparel to mark your event is a great idea; whether you’re giving the apparel/items away, or you’re looking for Halloween ‘17 products to sell, Impress Ink can print your spooky ideas and have them to you well before the day arrives.

Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving

Thanksgiving may very well be the States’ most beloved holiday. Think about it: it’s gloriously prepared food that doesn’t often come to the table, the family gets together, there’s football on, and it’s a time to start kicking back and getting into the holiday spirit. But for some who’ve ventured far from the town they were born in and can’t get back for the holidays, a new trend is emerging: Friendsgiving. Basically, it’s friends rather than families getting together for Thanksgiving. But, instead of Grandma doing most of the cooking, it’s your friend’s boyfriend, your roommate, and a tablet with each of the recipes who handle the food duties. It’s not uncommon to see funky sweaters showing up to these parties; not quite the tacky Christmas sweaters we’ll get to later, but some interesting sweaters nonetheless.

Let’s talk about why screen printing for Friendsgiving is a good idea. For a lot of us who take part in the burgeoning holiday, Friendsgiving can be a bit more relaxed than traditional Thanksgiving gatherings with all sides of the family. Maybe it’s the freedom to explore new (and revisit old) recipes with friends, the generally good feeling of being around friends, or the wine that’s often around, but Friendsgiving is usually a more laid-back time. So why not commemorate this year’s Friendsgiving with custom sweaters? With Thanksgiving still nearly two months away, there’s still plenty of time for you and your friends to brainstorm some ideas for a design that’s sure to keep your party light and lively. Besides, shouldn’t you be getting together once or twice to try out some of the recipes before the big day?

Winter Holidays

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, or another event, December is packed with winter festivities — especially around the office. It’s that time of year when random trays of cookies show up in the office, someone decides to have an afterwork party at their place, or your schedule is booked with post-work events for the kids, spouse, and that one family event you can’t wriggle your way out of. What we're saying is, people love the holidays, and getting into the spirit of the holidays is one of the best ways to enjoy the season.

If you’re part of the many who have winter holiday event obligations inside the office, you may be scratching your head about what to do to add a little extra oomph to the holiday party. While food and drink are obvious options, getting some holiday gifts or items for the office is never a bad idea. But, how many desk calendars does one office worker need? And who needs another paperweight? Break out of bland and create some original holiday gifts for your coworkers. Seriously, you think Pauline in accounting wants another wrist support for her keyboard? And Doug down in the credit department probably doesn’t want a pen set for the third year in a row. Get creative! Impress Ink can print on nearly any apparel or item, so whether you’re looking for a way insert some unexpectedness into your office events or you’re more in line to create custom gifts for the people whom you interact with for the majority of your waking hours, Impress Ink has you covered on your custom design.

New Year’s Eve

This winter holiday doesn’t really get much attention until the days leading up to it. However, with a little extra planning, you can create custom New Year’s Eve gifts and accessories for your party. Why custom? Because it’s easy to find sunglass with oversized and colorful “2018” numbering on them, but it can be bit harder to find New Year’s Eve accessories that aren’t tacky or over the top. Give your guests some items to remember — and ones they might want to hang on to after the party. Maybe custom mason jars or glasses? These make great party favors, especially since they can be put to good use both after and during the party. Or, maybe tote bags with your own holiday design on them, commemorating the year (or celebrating its passing). Or, perhaps you’re thinking well outside the box and want to print on something we haven’t seen before.  Whatever you decide, odds are that Impress Ink can get your winter holiday gift and apparel ideas ready to go well before the big day.
